Compensation consists of 3 main component: 1) Direct compensation -employee wages and salaries, incentives, bonuses, commissions. 2) Indirect compensation -the many benefits supplied by employers 3) Non-financial compensation -employee recognition programs, rewarding jobs, organisational support, work environment, and flexible work hours to accommodate personal need
